ZAMBOANGA Mayor John Dalipe lauded the Zamboangueño athletes who participated in the recently concluded Batang Pinoy Games 2024.
This, as the delegation of Zamboanga City ranked seventh out of the 177 athletic delegations who participated in the Batang Pinoy Games 2024.
Dalipe noted the team of Zamboanga City captured a total of 74 medals—29 gold, 26 silver, and 19 bronze.
“Congratulations to the athletes, coaches, and officials for all your efforts and for bringing pride and honor to Zamboanga City,” Dalipe said in a statement.
“The city government is proud of you,” Dalipe added.
Zamboanga City has fielded 133 athletes and 33 coaches to this year’s Batang Pinoy games.
The Batang Pinoy Games 2024 was held from November 23 to 28 at Ramon Mitra, Jr. Sports Complex in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. (SunStar Zamboanga)
