4.8 magnitude quake hits Luzon

CEBU CITY -- An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale on Thursday hit Luzon including Metro Manila, the Philippine Volcanology and Seismology said.

The epicenter of the quake was located 93 kilometers south of Baler in Aurora province. It was tectonic in origin.

Intensity 3 was felt in Daet, Camarines Norte and Alabat Quezon City while intensity 2 was felt in Pasay City, Alabang in Muntinlupa, and Tagcauyan and Guinayangan, both in Quezon City.

There were no reported casualties or damage to property. (Sunnex)
