MANILA -- President Benigno Aquino III bagged P21.4 billion loan assistance for road improvement and maintenance projects during his official trip to Vietnam for the 17th Asean Summit.

A report in government-run radio station dzRB stated that the loan assistance was easily granted by Japan to the Department of Public Works and Highways.

Japan also vowed to provide language assistance for Filipinos working abroad as health workers.

“Napakagandang balita niyan lalo na yung sa road assistance and assistance to our health workers para mapadali yung pagtransisiton nila pag naghahanap sila ng trabaho sa Japan,” said Deputy Presidential Spokeswoman Abigail Valte.
