FOUR recipients of the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program (NOSP) have passed this year’s Agriculture Professional Licensure Examinations.

Jayson Tumbay of La Carlota City, who graduated cum laude at the Central Philippine State University (CPSU) Main Campus in Kabankalan City, was among the topnotchers of the exam given last June 24 to 26.

Tumbay, a scholar, garnered an average of 85.5 percent placing him as number 10 from among 1,689 exam passers.

Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., in a press release, lauded Tumbay’s achievement, as well as those of other scholars, for giving pride to the province.

Other new agriculturists under the NOSP-Pagkaon Scholarship Program are Chelly Ann Nojas from Bago City and Evoyne Mae Galvan from La Carlota City who both graduated Magna Cum Laude, and Joemari Bitamor also from Bago City graduated as cum laude.

Like Tumbay, the three other passers are also graduates of CPSU-Main Campus with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Major in Crop Science.

For her part, NOSP head Karen Dinsay said the scholars deserve more than the recognition and those brighter opportunities are coming their way.
