Sunnexdesk

BACOLOD City has launched a startup support program called Bacolod Startup Ecosystem Programs and Services (BCD STEPS) to boost the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry in the area. The program, established under City Ordinance 886, series of 2019, aims to provide customized support and assistance to startups, including a wide range of information, services, and resources necessary for their growth, development, and sustainability.

As part of the program, Bacolod will hold a Startup 100 Awareness Campaign on April 3, 2023, at SM City Bacolod, to engage stakeholders in the ICT industry's growth and development. The event will bring together tech startups and companies located in Bacolod and showcase the city's potential as a hub for digital innovation.

With BCD STEPS, Bacolod is driving towards a Supercity status by engaging multiple stakeholders to take part in the growth of the ICT industry, which is crucial in today's digital age. The program is expected to develop talents and supplement the rapid growth of digitalization in Bacolod.*
