THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Negros Occidental, through its Negosyo Center in Bacolod City, marked the celebration on establishing a total of 1,000 Negosyo Centers in the country by conducting a Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) forum Wednesday, November 28.

The forum held at the Negosyo Center in Bacolod City was attended by existing and potential micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the province.

It is aimed at creating more life for MSMEs since the BMBE Act provides many benefits for them, DTI-Negros Occidental said in a press release.

The BMBE forum is also a tool for economic development by promoting entrepreneurial mindset to Filipinos, it added.

Among the speakers during the seminar were DTI-Negros Occidental Senior Trade and Industry Specialist Romel Amihan, Revenue Officer II of Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)-Bacolod City Jennylyn Ganarias, and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Western Visayas Inspector and Senior Labor and Employment Officer Edilberto Diogenes.
