Capitol signs MOA on feed mill project

NEGROS Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. and the Alliance of Hog Raisers Association in Negros Occidental (Ahrano) Inc. represented by its president, Cynthia dela Cruz, signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the establishment of a Mini-Feed Mill Project.

The MOA signing was held at the Governor’s Office in the Provincial Capitol on Thursday, November 15.

The MOA stated that the project will have its funding support from the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI). It will be operated and managed by Ahrano, being identified as a partner-beneficiary of the provincial government.

The MOA also stated that Ahrano will manage the project under the joint technical supervision of the BAI, Department of Agriculture regional field office and the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) headed by Dr. Renante Decena.

The PVO will also be responsible in the monitoring of the implementation and operation of the project and likewise, provide technical support and assistance whenever necessary.

With the operation of the feed mill, AHRANO will procure raw feed ingredients and produce feeds based on quality standard and sell products to the member–beneficiaries at reasonable prices.
