THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) launched on Friday, September 21, the Community-Managed Potable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (CPWASH) project in northern Negros Occidental.

It’s the ninth and last leg for 2018.

Nabinay Agrarian Reform Cooperative situated at Barangay Daga in Cadiz City is the beneficiary of the low-cost water sanitation facility.

The technology will benefit the coop's 64 farmer-beneficiaries and the community.

Enterprise Development and Economic Support chief Teodoro Che Salido said the construction of the water sanitation facilities is set to start on October and will be turned over to the cooperative by November.

Cadiz City Cooperative Development Council head Shen Villena, in his message, said the coop should value and ensure the sustainability of every project they receive from the government.

Among the attendees were Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer Rosemarie Perono and Barangay Daga representative Gary Delos Reyes. (PR)
