EB Magalona food service providers get boost

THE Department of Tourism in Western Visayas, through its Training Industry Skills Program, initiated the Community-Based Tourism Kulinarya Workshop in Barangay Tomongtong, EB Magalona Thursday, September 16, 2021.

The workshop attended by 26 food service providers aims to capacitate the members of the Tomongtong Mangrove Eco-Trail Community particularly on food innovation and presentation showcasing local cuisine and dishes.

Chef Jose Ramlo Villaluna spoke on menu planning, food costing, food safety and sanitation as well as transitioning to the new normal Kulinarya program.

The activity coincides with the 21st Negros Occidental Tourism Month Celebration themed "Tourism for Inclusive Growth” that focuses on the role of local communities in the growth and recovery of the tourism industry. (PR)
