IN THE bid to deliver social change, help and serve poor communities in Negros, the Bacolod Eagles Club has nestled in Bacolod City recently.

The Bacolod Eagles Club, under the Fraternal Order of Eagles - Philippine Eagles, is a non-profit organization headed by their president Reynee Talisay.

Talisay, who is a certified public accountant and law student, said this is the group’s chance to share the blessings they received.

He said all material things are temporary and should be shared to the least fortunate people while there is still a chance.

“I am very thankful to my club that they agreed on our move of having a sustainable development. We don’t want to just give a person a fish and feed him for a day,” Talisay said, adding that “we want to teach them how to fish so that we can feed them for life.”

The Bacolod Eagles Club is pushing for its initiative dubbed “Adopt a community, Adopt a mountain, and Adopt a coastal” project.

The group has members who are medical doctor, parish priest, accountants and businessmen, environmentalist, police and military officers, and engineers.

Thus, the club will use the expertise and skills of the members to help the community which they can use in their daily lives, it said.

Talisay said the group is humbled and honored to lead and serve people in the city in reaching out to the needy and provide help in the best possible ways it can.

“Our help will not be limited here in Bacolod City, but will be extended also to the entire province,” Talisay said.

The club will also collaborate to various concerned government agencies in delivering social services, he added. (PR)
