THE local government of San Carlos, through the Negosyo Center (NC), in cooperation with the San Carlos City Children and Women's Affairs Inc. (SCCAWAI), has conducted a two-day skills training for meat processing on to mark the National Women's Month celebration.

At least 40 women participated in the meat processing skills training held at Consuelo Alger Community Center on March 11 and 12, 2022.

Participants were divided into two batches mentored by Resource Person Myrna Dañas, who shared four recipes to them during the training.

Negosyo Center Manager Novah Sollesta, in a statement, said the two-day capacity development training was aimed at providing alternative livelihood among women, particularly mothers, to increase their family income.

Sollesta pointed out that aside from personal growth, the entrepreneurship training will also help in educating them on gender equality as a means of promoting women empowerment.

Women have the competence to do as much as they can. That's why uplifting them is the core of women empowerment, she emphasized. (With PR)
