Noneco decreases power rate in September

Erwin P. Nicavera

THE Northern Negros Electric Cooperative (Noneco) announced that its power rate for September has decreased by almost P0.44 per kilowatt hour (kWh).

Noneco caters to consumers in the northern portion of Negros Occidental, from E.B. Magalona to San Carlos City.

From P11.7092 per kWh in August, the cooperative's power rate went down to P11.2700 per kWh this month.

The reduction is mainly attributed to a decrease of P0.2451 per kWh in generation charge.

Another reduction of P0.1026 per kWh was noted in the transmission and systems loss charges.

For other charges like lifeline rate and taxes, the cooperative reported a decrease of P0.0916 per kWh.
