The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental in partnership with TESDA spearheaded the World Café of Opportunities (WCO) and Job Fair held at Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City, today.

The activity is in line with TESDA’s 29th anniversary celebration and the observance of the National Technical–Vocational (Tech-Voc) Day.

The WCO is a sector-based job fair, initiated by TESDA, that aims to connect government and private agencies to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates.

It also aims to ensure that job opportunities and other employment support interventions will be offered to graduates and those entrants needing relevant information and services.

TESDA Negros Occ. Provincial Director Niña Connie Dodd has partnered with the Provincial Public Employment Service Office and the Dept. of Labor and Employment in the conduct of the activity.

Gov. Lacson said that the Provincial Government stands united with TESDA in its mission to deliver fundamental employment and job facilitation services at the grassroots level.

The governor also thanked the partner agencies and all participants of the job fair.

“Rest assured that the Provincial Government remains committed to supporting the technical education and skills development of the Negrense community,” he said. (PR)
