15 Miss Bacolod MassKara 2022 candidates wear their ‘Matam-is nga Yuhom’

BACOLODNONS are excited to know who will be the top five winners of the Miss Bacolod MassKara 2022.

They are set to grab the limelight on October 19 at the University of St. La Salle Bacolod as part of this year’s grandest MassKara festival.

Pageant Chairperson Carlos Durana said the 15 lovely candidates had their photo shoot recently wearing white shirt as photographed by Quincy John Tampo of Hayag Studious.

The photo shoot was done at the Studio Grey with the Concept and Direction of Rodney Mitz Ascalon while Team Acids Production and the shirts which were provided by Chino Christopherson.

This year’s candidates includes Jo. Jhela Mae Velasco, whose advocacy is on Information Communications Technology Training Initiative, Helcie Jamili and Chattea Cajucson who are both promoting education.

For Franches Anne Laquibla, sex education awareness will be her campaign while Yvonne Catamco is pushing for equal care and support for abandoned children.

Sustainable tourism relating to responsible travel and environment will be bannered by Jan Marie Bordon and Frances Marie Monsale is calling for a “Stronger Together Campaign."

Malnutrition Awareness is being pushed by Kara Daniela Villarosa while solo parent’s welfare is the advocacy of Alyssa Marie Villanueva.

Meanwhile, Alexandria Margarette Colmenares is an advocate of children's mental health awareness, Eirine Juliane Granada of feminism and gender equality and Sandale Masangcay of expanded healthcare access.

Eating disorders awareness will be promoted by Kristel Mae Nacionales, HIV/AIDS Awareness by Janine Gelera and Child Protection Against Sexual Harassment and Exploitation by Teresa Brunner.

Durana said this is the first time that each candidate received P80,000 in financial subsidy from the Bacolod Yuhum Foundation, Inc., for their participation in the pageant.

He reiterated that the candidates will receive major awards and their corresponding cash prizes such as Miss Bacolod International with P80,000 cash prize; Miss Bacolod World with a P100,000 cash prize and Miss Bacolod Universe who will receive a P150,000 cash prize.

The first runner up will receive P50,000 and the second runner up will receive P30,000.
