MIXLADA, a fusion of mediums by different artists, initiated an art exhibit dubbed as “Art Gala” held at Ayala Malls Capitol Central recently.

It showcased the artwork of young and developing artists who indicated an interest in the sphere of the arts.

Couple artists Sugar and Anthony Tonogbanua were part of the Mixlada group of artists who initiated the staging of the Art Gala.

“Our art exhibit was a fusion of the different art forms and mediums. There were contemporary and digital arts blended in one setting. Those who participated in the art exhibition were given their leeway on what type and style of art they will pursue, and it turned out competently well,” Sugar said.

Contemporary art still holds the charm of art enthusiasts because emotions and skills are being expressed well in the most intricate way.

Of course, digital art is the face of modernity. But a combination of modern and contemporary art is an add on to the real meaning of the masterpiece.

Sugar, being an Art workshop coach, saw the need to keep on enabling the enthusiasm and motivation of those who have the inclination and love for the arts.

“We, as artists, love to see the young and budding artists pursue their passion in the arts because this is where they can express themselves freely. We can sense the depths of their emotions, mainly by the stroke of their paintbrush or any art tools. Art does not have its barriers; you have to let it out and see its great result, she said.

Their life lies in art. That is where they spring the meaning, value and color of life.
