Enjoy stillness at Balulan

Carla N. Canet

THE Covid-19 pandemic, along with other domestic concerns, will make one's cognitive tendency relatively disquieting, thus a dose of the so-called "Vitamin Sea" makes a difference in minimizing its impact.

Walking by the seaside or playing with the tiny ripples and inhaling the refreshing sea breeze can bring stillness to one's wary spirit.

This is a simple way of releasing to the waves what's inside your inner self.

Seawater indeed provides us with relief and enables us to satisfy our need for serenity.

Balulan beach, located in Sitio Balulan, Barangay Punta Salong, Manapla, stays to be a sight to behold.

It is the premier beach resort where the residents get to enjoy nature.

One can see from afar the famous Lakawon beach located in Cadiz City and also Secogon island in Panay.

Fishes and marine products abound in the area where residents in the province and outside get their supply.

People love to go there to spend pleasantries with family and friends. But due to the pandemic, entries are subject to standard health protocol.

A prominent family owns and maintains the place and it is a meaningful place for them because when they were still little, they used to go there to swim and enjoy.

Many coconut trees surround the place and fresh buko is a regular beverage.

They are also conserving mangrove plantation with the help of USLS students who advocate for the protection of the environment.

The mangrove helps protect the area during storms.

Seafoods are always fresh as fishermen unload their catch near the place early each morning.
