Enjoying brewed coffee and pizza in the mountains of DSB

Carla N. Canet

TAKING the Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) Diversion Road in going to San Carlos City from Bacolod City and vice versa, we passed by Terraza Cafe, a small and quiet colorful coffee shop by the roadside in Barangay Kumaliskis, DSB just to break the monotony of the zigzagging terrain.

The area has a scenic backdrop of forest trees covering the beautiful mountains of DSB.

The coffee shop is owned by the Balinas family, which is operating the small business for a year now.

Travelers frequent there along with the other coffee shops by the roadside.

Brewed coffee is at its best taste and aroma. And it cost cheap. But go there to determine their prices.

There is a variety of food choices in their menu, such as the Barkada meals, which is a combination of pizza pies and beverages, light meals like beef nachos, quesadillas, beef quesa, Korean spicy ramen, Silogs -- danggit, corned beef, hotdogs, chorizo de cebu, tapas, spam, sandwiches and pizzas with flavors like Hawaiian, cheesy, pepperoni and Terraza special. They also serve hot and cold drinks. Very affordable prices.

Come there and know their service.

While having snacks and coffee or any cold and refreshing drinks, one can also buy plants just beside the coffee shop.

You don't need to shell out hundred bucks for the coffee. You will enjoy your coffee and a meal by having a hundred peso bill.
