THE Negros Occidental Provincial Government has joined the Christian community in the observance of the Christmas season with the lighting of the Provincial Capitol building and the setting up of some Christmas decors that transformed the place into an actual Christmassy spot.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, some department heads and other guests graced the launching of the Paskua sa Kapilyo on December 9, 2019.

Likewise, the event was highlighted by the initiation of the free wifi service covering the whole Capitol park and building.

Governor Lacson expressed his delight with the transformation of the Provincial Capitol edifice and grounds.

He hopes that the public will appreciate it as they visit the park and have their snapshots taken with family and friends.

Vice Governor Ferrer, on the other hand, said, “What a wonderful opportunity we have tonight because the celebration of the Christmas season has officially begun. I know for sure, will be enjoyed, appreciated and celebrated by our people who frequently visit for leisure and relaxation this lovely and scenic Provincial Capitol park. I wish everyone to hang around and enjoy the night as your provincial leaders never cease to look for means to bring simple but true happiness to all of you, especially in this Yuletide season. Advance Merry Christmas, everyone,” he said.
