Sue and Javi: Aiding Typhoon Odette victims

THEY are still together even in crisis situations as celebrity couple Javi Benitez and Sue Ramirez extended relief assistance to residents of Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, who were affected by the recent onlsaught of typhoon Odette.

Sue, being a Sipalaynon was with her boyfriend Javi in extending relief assistance to more than 2,000 residents of Barangay who in turn expressed their gratitude.

The celebrity couple rode a motorcycle to Sipalay, among the most badly hit by Typhoon Odette, with Provincial Consultant Albee Benitez bringing rice and food packs, hygiene kits, and water.

The provincial government also provided assistance to the relief assistance drive, as well as several private sector donors.

Sue and Javi personally led the distribution, interacted with the residents and helped ease the pain brought by their traumatic experiences and losses during the typhoon.

Former Sixth District Representative Mercedes Alvarez-Lansang joined the aid distribution that was also assisted by the Sipalay Command Center, Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection personnel.

All Barangay 5 officials and the Garina family of Sipalay helped coordinate the activity.
