BICYCLES are the common means of enthusiasts to do outdoor exercise and a safer means of transportation given the increasing number of Covid-19 cases.

Aside from these purposes, bicycles also provide leisure and recreation to bikers.

Due to the pandemic, the number of people using bicycles as a form of transportation has risen.

Thus, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Sum-ag headed by SK Chairman Jason Villarosa and the SK Council came up with the project of "Sangguniang Kabataan Free Bicycle Repair Station."

Villarosa said this project aims to help not only the constituents of Barangay Sum-ag, but also other Negrosanon and Bacolodnon bikers passing by Barangay Sum-ag that need repair services.

They want to share the road by riding their bikes safely and so the team has installed bike repair stations to provide cyclists accessible and free basic repair of their bicycles.

Villarosa said cyclists' lives matter, thus any minor bike malfunction can be addressed immediately.

Normally, bikers engage in road and trail rides every weekend and there were bikers whose bikes experienced mechanical trouble during the ride thus these Free Bicycle Repair Stations are perfect to help address those malfunctions.
