Traveling Hampangan treats Escalante kids

THE Traveling Hampangan, the mobile playground of Super Lucky Beagler Inc. (SLBI), has brought fun to the children of a public school as well as those confined at Vicente Gustilo District Hospital in Escalante City on Monday, February 18.

The 377 pupils of Paitan Elementary School in Barangay Paitan had a day of laughter and surprises, playing at the giant inflatable slide, the Velcro wall, games and Mingo ice cream with Lucky, the Super Beagler mascot.

Principal Floyd Cabus said they are grateful to SLBI for bringing joy to the school children.

"We may be strangers to each other, but you brought to Paitan Integrated School something that money cannot buy,” he added.

At the Vicente Gustilo District Hospital, 42 children confined at the Pediatrics ward, were treated to games, surprise prizes, snacks, and stories with Lucky.

SLBI and the Hampangan team dressed up as popular cartoon characters. The young-at-heart parents and hospital staff also enjoyed the treat.

The Traveling Hampangan is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program of SLBI, an authorized agent corporation of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

Since 2017 SLBI focused their CSR thrust on children by putting up a permanent playground with world class quality features in Silay City in the north, and Hinigaran in the southern part of Negros Occidental.
