Triumphing in the archery of life

Carla N. Canet

HELLO sixty, merrily exclaimed by birthday celebrator Maria Christine Lusabia - Toledo who just reached the threshold of her senior year last February 25 held at L’Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City.

Her impressive birthday celebration was relatively themed in retro fashion where some of her well-wishers like her family, relatives, and friends, were clad in retro dresses, apparel and in curly hairstyles while others came on their own selection of casual wear.

The celebration has surprised the celebrator herself as it was filled with so much fun and surprises with a lot of dancing and entertainment.

At 60, she felt that she was triumphant in the so-called “archery of life” as she charmed success, utilizing the qualities of an archer - such as precision, control, physical ability, and determination in facing life’s challenges, thus anything in her insight can be achieved with considerable calculation.

Maria Christine is the 6th among 10 offspring who were born out of great love by couple Jose Lusabia, their father, who was once a DPWH employee, and their mother Nelly who is still healthy at 88.

During the celebration, she expressed how grateful she is to her loving parents particularly to her mom Nelly who is still healthy at 88.

She could never ask for more as God has blessed her with a gift of family and friends.

Her family wished her to stay happy and healthy and to enjoy life to the fullest.

* The Pronouns Multimedia, Talents and Events produced the 60th birthday celebration of Maria Christine Lusabia - Toledo led by event organizer Johanna Taño and program director C2Y Taño.
