1 dead, 3 injured from lightning strike in Moises Padilla

ONE person was killed while three others were injured when they were struck by a lightning in Barangay Odiong, Moises Padilla Wednesday morning, September 11.

Authorities identified the fatality as Zaldy Marfil, 40, while the three injured have yet to be identified as of press time Wednesday since they were immediately rushed to a hospital following the incident.

Based on the investigation conducted by the local officials, the victims who are all farmers were heading to their fields in order to harvest their crops when they suddenly experienced a sudden downpour.

The victims then decided to cancel their activity and returned home. On their way home, they were struck by lightning causing the immediate death of Marfil. (TDE)
