1,200 NOCHP beneficiaries receive health cards

ABOUT 1,200 Himamaylanons who are beneficiaries of the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program (NOCHP) received their cards at the ceremonial distribution held Thursday, September 12, in Himamaylan City.

Present in the activity were Fifth District Board Member Agustin Ernesto Bascon who represented Governor Bong Lacson, Fifth District Board Member Rita Gatuslao, Himamaylan Mayor Raymund Tongson, Vice Mayor Justin Gatuslao, former Fifth District board member Alain Gatuslao, and City Council members.

As of August 31, 2019, a total of 317,422 member-families are already enrolled at NOCHP.

NOCHP is one of the most successful programs of the Provincial Government as it has benefited the poor and underprivileged families.

The NOCHP, launched in 2010 to provide health insurance to indigent families in Negros Occidental, has more than 300,000 member-families in the province.

Beneficiaries of the program enjoys zero billing once hospitalized.
