TYPHOON Ulysses, which soaked the Philippines' main island Luzon, has left stranded 183 Manila-bound passengers at the Bredco port on Thursday, November 12, 2020.

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Southern Visayas District Commander Captain Eduardo De Luna said stranded passengers consist of 133 persons that originated from Bacolod and 50 from Iloilo.

Aside from the passengers, three rolling cargoes, one motorcycle and 144 container vans were also stranded at the Bredco port.

The PCG-Bredco sub-station has agreed to let stranded passengers board the vessel instead of waiting at the terminal area.

It said the vessel will only be allowed to sail once tropical cyclone warning signals in the ship's path and destination are lifted.

As of Thursday afternoon, Typhoon Ulysses lashed out the southern and central areas of Luzon, including Metro Manila, causing major flooding.

The typhoon is forecasted to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday.
