2 arrested for illegal fishing

TWO persons were arrested by the Binalbagan Philippine National Police along with the Bantay Dagat Task Force for illegal fishing in Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.

The suspects were identified as TD Calderon, a resident of the said barangay and Raul Gabaida of Barangay Saraet, Himamaylan City.

Based on police report, a team from Binalbagan Police Station led by Chief of Police Major Albert Hucalla together with Bantay Dagat Task Force, seaborne patrol within the coastal area of Barangay Enclaro Binalbagan and apprehended F/B John Mark with Calderon as boat captain who was caught in the act fishing using an active gear and fine mesh net.

Recovered from his possession and control were fishing net and fishing board.

The subject person was brought to Municipal Agriculture Office for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, the joint team also apprehended Gabaida who is the boat captain of F/B Angela who was caught in the act fishing using an active gear and fine mesh net.
