2 barangays to get new ambulance

Sunnexdesk

THE Bacolod City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (BCDRRMO) will purchase two units of a brand new ambulance for the two barangays in the city.

Executive Assistant Jose Maria Vargas, clustered head on BCDRRMO, said they are preparing the documents to purchase two ambulances for Barangays Felisa and Vista Alegre.

He said they are also set to buy two units of 10-wheeler rescue vehicles and a backhoe loader combined for the flood control and rescue vehicles of bBCDRRMO.

Vargas noted that Barangays Felisa and Vista Alegre are far-flung barangays and they need an ambulance to serve their constituents for emergency cases.

The City Council had earlier approved the P143 million Disaster Risk Reduction and Management fund for 2018.

Vargas said of the P143 million, the P23.5 million is allotted for the purchase of said vehicles and equipment.

He said they will make the purchase request this week so they can turn over the new ambulances to the two barangays this year. (MAP)
