2 brothers arrested for robbery in Bacolod

TWO brothers, one of them a minor, who were allegedly involved in a series of robbery incidents in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City, were arrested by operatives of Police Station 7 in Purok Kasilingan, of said village Thursday evening, September 2, 2021.

Police identified the suspects as Jomar Alimonia, 21, and his 16-year-old brother, name withheld for being a minor, both residents of Purok Leonville, Barangay Mansilingan.

Police Captain Elmer Bonilla, chief of Police Station 7, on Friday said the two brothers were arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant for the crime of robbery around 8:45 p.m.

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Sue Lynn Lowte-Jolingan of Regional Trial Court Branch 53, Bacolod City with bail recommended amounting to P72,000 for their temporary liberty.

Bonilla said the two brothers were involved in a series of robbery incidents in the area of Barangay Mansilingan. Both of them were positively identified by the victims.

He said the minor was already turned over to the Social Development Center while Jomar is detained at the custodial facility of the station.
