2 drug personalities arrested in Bacolod City

TWO drug personalities were arrested in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 5 at Purok Hervias 2, Barangay Villamonte in Bacolod City on Tuesday afternoon, August 16.

Police identified the suspects as Riezlyn Silos, 35, of Purok Hervias 3 at Barangay Villamonte; and Raymund Parcon, 35, of Purok Abkasa, Barangay Mandalagan.

Captain John Christopher Masangkay, commander of Police Station 5, said yesterday, August 17, the suspects were arrested after one of them sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer.

Police recovered from the suspects' possession five sachets of suspected shabu weighing 25 grams with estimated market value of P142, 800 and the P500 marked money.

Masangkay said Silos and Parcon were identified as street level individuals in Bacolod City. They were under surveillance for almost two weeks before their arrest.

He said the suspects were operating in various barangays in the city including the area of Police Station 5 in Barangay Granada.

He added that Parcon was a former detainee for violations of illegal firearms and illegal drugs.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 5. They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
