2 hurt in Sipalay shooting

TWO persons were hurt in a shooting incident at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, in Sitio Maabon, Barangay Canadiangan, Sipalay City.

The victims were identified as Donald Caballero, 29, and Welfredo Caballero, 65, both are residents of Sitio Calatong, Barangay Cabadiangan, Sipalay City while the suspects were identified as Boboy Vendercin and Roger Pedrosa, both legal age and residents of Barangay Cabadiangan of the same city.

Initial investigation showed that while the victims were crossing along the river of Sitio Maabon, Barangay Cabadiangan, they were shot by the suspects using unknown caliber of firearms. Victims sustained gunshot wounds in the different parts of their body and were brought by the responding Sipalay City rescue personnel to City Health Office for immediate medical treatment.

The Sipalay PNP is still conducting follow-up investigation and hot pursuit operation for possible arrest of the suspects. (TDE)
