2 killed, 5 injured after car hits house, trees in Bago

TWO passengers died while five others, including the driver, were injured after a car slammed a concrete house, hit a mango tree and a mahogany tree in Purok Mainugyunon, Barangay Napoles, Bago City at around 10:55 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2020.

The fatalities were identified as Ronald Sudoy of Purok Rosas, Barangay Calumangan and Jomarie Guco, 38, of Purok Humay, Barangay Napoles, all of the same city.

Injured were Joseph Bagatela, 42, of Villa Fe Subdivision, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, who is a driver of the car; Raffy Jalea, 28, of Purok Papaya, Barangay Calumangan; Jojet Quilantang, 38, of Barangay Napoles; Rommel Jalea, 41, of Barangay Calumangan and Judy Abello, 29, of the same place.

Police report revealed that the incident happened when a Toyota Vios car, driven by Bagatela, was running from east to west direction, lost control and swerved on the right side of the road. It accidentally bumped a concrete house beside the road and, subsequently, hit a mango tree and then slammed a mahogany tree.

The fatalities were declared dead on arrival at Corazon Lacson Montelibano Regional Hospital.
