2 motorcycle riders die in road mishap

TWO men on a motorcycle died after they hit a Ceres Liner bus along the national highway at Barangay Paraiso in Sagay City, Negros Occidental Tuesday night, July 10.

Killed were motorcycle driver Gilbert Rafael, 37, of Himamaylan City; and his companion Jerry Lumampao.

Investigation showed that the bus driven by Geronimo Batoon, 32, of Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City, was on its way to Bacolod City from Sagay when a motorcycle allegedly hit the vehicle.

The speeding motorcycle overlapped to the opposite lane.

The two victims fell on the ground and sustained severe injuries.

Both victims were rushed to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
