2 nabbed for guns in Victorias City

TWO persons were arrested in a police checkpoint for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition at Osmeña Avenue in Barangay 13, Victorias City, Negros Occidental Tuesday evening, December 18.

The police flagged down a motorcycle without a license plate driven by Remond Lama, 23, of Silay City with rider Remy Canag, 34, of E.B. Magalona town.

In a plain view, authorities saw the guns of the suspects which led to their arrest.

Recovered from Lama was a .45 caliber with a magazine loaded with six ammunition, ammunition loaded on its chamber, a spare magazine loaded with seven live ammunition of .45 caliber, and a leather black holster.

Canag allegedly yielded a .45 caliber with a magazine loaded with six ammunition, live ammunition loaded on its chamber, and a spare magazine loaded with five live ammunition of the same firearm.
