Emergency Operations Center (EOC) records showed from April 1 to 14, a total of 21 barangays were declared " Covid-free."

These barangays were 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31, 33, 34, 37, 38, 40, 41 and Punta Taytay.

As of April 13, Bacolod City had a total of 6,489 Covid-19 cases. Of the number, 5,810 patients were recoveries, 486 were active cases and 193 were deaths.

On the same day, 32 were new Covid-19 cases with two deaths. Of the number, 29 were local transmission while three others were returning overseas Filipinos.

Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical data and analysis of the Emergency Operations Center-Task Force, earlier said most of the new Covid cases were authorized persons outside residence, local stranded individuals, dialysis patients and pregnant women, among others.

He said they are still encouraging and enjoining the people of Bacolod City not to be complacent.

Sorongon reminded the public to always observe minimum health protocols, such as wearing face masks and face shields, washing of hands and observance of physical distancing.

EOC also encouraged those with Covid symptoms to visit Bacolod Respiratory Outpatient Center at the Bacolod Arts, Youth and Sports Center (BaysCenter) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for free checkup and swab test.
