3 fall in drug bust in Bacolod

THREE drug personalities were arrested in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 6 in Purok Amaliz Uno in Barangay 40, Bacolod City Friday, October 22.

Police Major Leo Estopa, Station 6 chief, identified those arrested as Darwin Toledo, 39, of Amaliz 1, Barangay 40; Romel Flores, 31, and Joenard Penaflor, 29, both residents of Hacienda Salvacion, Murcia, Negros Occidental.

Estopa said they were arrested after one of them sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer around 1:40 p.m.

The buy-bust operation yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing eight grams with estimated market value of P54, 000, the P500 marked money, P600 cash and drug paraphernalia, police records showed.

The suspects were detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 6.

They will be charged for violation of Sections 5, 11, 15 and 15 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
