33 Negrense fire officers promoted

A TOTAL of 33 non-commissioned officers of the Bureau of Fire Protection in Negros Occidental were promoted to higher ranks Monday, December 3.

Senior Superintendent Alan Aladano, director of BFP Western Visayas administered the oath of office and the pinning of ranks held at Grand Xing Imperial Hotel in Iloilo City on Monday.

One was promoted from Senior Fire Officer (SFO) 2 to SFO3; six from SFO1 to SFO2; six from Fire Office (FO)3 to SFO1; nine from FO2 to FO3; 11 from FO1 to FO2.

Promoted were: SFO3 Paulo Antonio Garin; SFO2s Edmund Cabatas, Jessie Dequilato, Marlon Estimar, Laddy Maglasang, Rainer Parcon, and Arturo Taganile Jr.; SFO1s Roy Cabagay, Jonathan Bernardez, Raul Diaz Jr., Joseph Duque, Prinie Melgar, Joelan Villaruz; FO3s Anthony Banay, Raniel Basco, Isaac Cabana, Arnel Chavez, Jane Hisona, Ryan Marc Lim, Genevieve Pecha, Giovanni Saude, and Donna Tanaman; FO2s Sarah May Alba, Raymund Bien Amit, Rhobel Cabilin, Jayfred Castel, Gem Dollosa, Nelcis Estopa, Christine Mae Libre, Rona Magdaluyo, Roy Malunes, Rayjon Sayson, and Ruben Villafranca III.

Aladano, in his message, told the BFP personnel in the region that he desired to promote all the applicants, yet the quota is limited.

But still, he encouraged those applicants whose names weren't included in the list to continue applying.

A total of 140 BFP personnel in the region were promoted to higher ranks.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Pamela Rojane Candido, provincial fire marshal, congratulated the newly-promoted fire officers in the province. (GYM)
