366 Silaynons undergo mass testing

A TOTAL of 366 residents in Silay City on Friday, September 25, 2020, participated in the local government's mass testing program as part of the campaign against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Silay City Mayor Mark Andrew Golez said the 366 individuals were tagged as close contacts or those who have direct contact with Covid-positive patients. They were identified following contact tracing.

Golez said the mass testing was conducted at the Healing Center of the city located in Barangay E. Lopez and is also part of the initiative of Negros Occidental Third District Representative Francisco "Kiko" Benitez, who provided 400 test kits.

After the testing, the 366 individuals will undergo home quarantine and those who will test positive for the coronavirus will be transferred to the city's Healing Center.

Golez said the City Government provided 12 swabbers, two swabbers from Victorias City, two swabbers from EB Magalona and

two swabbers from the Provincial Health Office.
