4 drug personalities arrested in Barangay Singcang-Airport

FOUR drug personalities were arrested in a drug bust by Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) at Alice Street, Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City Tuesday morning, June 2.

Police identified the suspects as Leo Ledesma, 25, of Barangay Singcang-Airport; Peter Locsin, 39, of Carmela Valley, Talisay City; Mark Ybanez, 39, of Villa Angela Subdivision, Bacolod; and Martina Cordova, 21, of Barangay Villamonte.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said the suspects were arrested by the operatives of City Drug Enforcement Unit of BCPO of after they sold a sachet of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to police undercover at about 4:45 a.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession seven sachets of shabu, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Pico said the confiscated shabu, weighing five grams, has an estimated market value P46,000.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 8 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
