4 nabbed in Bacolod drug busts

FOUR drug personalities were arrested in separate drug bust operations conducted by operatives of Police Station 9 Sunday, May 26.

Police identified the suspects as Jolemar Tornea, James Gan, Alcaizar Lascano, all residents of Barangay Sum-ag; and Sanny Boy Quirogo, of Barangay Punta Taytay.

Police Major Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said Tornea, Gan, and Lascano were caught selling of shabu to a police undercover at Purok Badyang, Baragay Sum-ag at about 12:30 a.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession 10 sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P30,000, the P200 marked money, coin purse, one hand grenade replica, and drug paraphernalia.

At about 3 a.m, the operatives proceeded to Purok Seawall in Barangay Punta Taytay that led to the arrest of Quirogo.

Police recovered from Quirogo’s possession six sachets of shabu worth P15, 000, drug paraphernalia, and the 500 marked money.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 9 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
