FOUR police chiefs in Negros Occidental were reshuffled since last week.

Senior Inspector Aireen Cordua, public information officer of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), said Friday that Chief Inspector Reuben Pajarito was relieved from Isabela Municipal Police Station on July 19 following the request of Mayor Joselito Malabor to Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr., director of Nocppo.

Pajarito was replaced by Chief Inspector Gary Alan Resuma, who already served Cauayan Municipal Police Station for two years, while the former was transferred to Nocppo headquarters.

Malabor has sought the replacement of Pajarito as he saw the need to intensify their campaign against illegal drugs, the proliferation of armed groups, and other crimes in the town.

Resuma's post in Cauayan town was assumed by Chief Inspector James Latayon, former deputy chief of Victorias City Police Station.

Chief Inspector Eduardo Corpuz from Nocppo headquarters replaced Superintendent German Garbosa as officer-in-charge of Victorias City Police Station. Garbosa was detailed at the headquarters.

Senior Inspector Jovito Bose in Salvador Benedicto town was also replaced by Senior Inspector Jerald Muya, former deputy chief of Kabankalan City Police Station. Bose was moved to Nocppo headquarters.(GYM)
