FOUR police stations in the province and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) were commended for their accomplishments on the campaign against illegal drugs in August.

The awarding ceremony was led by Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr., director of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), and Juvy Pepello, president of Liga ng mga Barangay, who represented the provincial government, during the Pagkilala Award held at the provincial police headquarters in Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Barangay Estefania yesterday.

Nocppo recognized police stations in the cities of San Carlos, Talisay, Silay, and Kabankalan, who were represented by their chiefs of police, for their most outstanding contribution in the anti-illegal drug operations.

The certificates of commendation were given to Superintendents D’Artagnan Katalbas, Boots Aseo, Noel Polines, and Jonel Guadalupe, respectively.

PDEU and the Provincial Intelligence Branch were also acknowledged for their efforts in the same campaign.

Chief Inspectors Rogelio Pacificar Jr., and Benedick Poblete also received the certificates, respectively.

Meanwhile, Police Officer 1 Vicmar Eudela was recognized for one commendable act, a service rendered beyond the scope of his work.*
