About 60 to 70 percent of the local government unit (LGU) booths at the Panaad Park and Stadium at Barangay Mansilingan in Bacolod City are now prepared for the “MassKara sa Panaad” as part of the upcoming MassKara Festival next month.

Engineer Jose Maria Amugod, the park’s administrator, said yesterday, September 20, that he roamed around the area over the weekend and saw several booths being renovated.

Amugod said the booths being renovated are those of the towns of Moises Padilla, Isabela, E.B. Magalona and Cauayan as well as those of the cities of Sipalay and Victorias.

Clearing operations are also being conducted at the booths of the towns of Manapla, Don Salvador Benedicto, Candoni and Calatrava and that of the cities of Himamaylan and Silay, he said.

“Probably, other LGUs are still busy with the conduct of the Tourism Week so they have not yet started preparing their booths,” Amugod added, saying that they will wait until next week.

Provincial Administrator Reyfrando Diaz II had told Amugod that they will call the mayors of the towns and cities of those booths and urged them to participate in the “MassKara sa Panaad.”

The “MassKara sa Panaad” is slated on October 10 to 16, 2022.

Meanwhile, the Panaad Stadium is already being prepared for the upcoming football event which is also slated next month by mowing the ground.

Amugod noted that they will also be coordinating with the Bacolod City Police Office for the security detail at the park who will man the traffic and ensure peace and order.
