Baby wrapped in paper found dead

AN INFANT boy wrapped in manila paper was found dead at Hacienda Sta Maria, Barangay Zone 15, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday, October 16.

Police Major Jigger Gimeno, city police chief, said civilians who saw the baby reported it to the police.

The police has not yet determined who left the baby in the area.

The area was also surrounded by sugarcane and far from houses, he said.

The dead baby was brought to the City Health Office (CHO). He will be buried at the city’s public cemetery.
