THE Bacolod City Council approved a resolution requesting Lily Donasco, branch manager of Baciwa-PrimeWater, through Engr. Michael Soliva, acting general manager of Bacolod City Water District, to provide a copy of the Baciwa-Primewater joint venture accomplishment report to the City Council.

The resolution, authored by Councilor Wilson Gamboa Jr., was approved during the regular session of the City Council on Wednesday afternoon, August 25.

Gamboa said the Baciwa-PrimeWater should provide a copy of their accomplishment report since its takeover of its operation last November 13, 2020.

He said the Joint Venture agreement entered into by the Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa) and PrimeWater Infrastructure Corp. (PIC) aims to provide potable, reliable, and sustainable water supply and services to its consumers here in Bacolod during the first five years of its 25-year joint venture agreement which started its operation last November 16, 2020.

Gamboa stressed that the city's consumers are complaining of very poor, dismal, and inefficient water services," he added.

"We are requesting for an accomplishment report from the management of Baciwa-PrimeWater base on the terms of reference as stated in the Joint Venture agreement and is needed for transparency," Gamboa said.
