BACOLOD City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran said Tuesday, June 4, there will be no regular session today, Wednesday, June 5, as it has been moved to Thursday, June 6.

Familiaran said they passed a resolution last week to reschedule their regular session since it is a regular holiday Wednesday.

He said President Rodrigo Duterte earlier issued Proclamation 729, declaring June 5 as regular holiday for Eid'l Ftr.

Eidl'l Ftr marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan for Muslims.

Familiaran said they will hold its regular session Thursday, June 6, at 3 p.m.

He said next week, the regular session will also be moved to June 13 instead of June 12.

He added that June 12 is an Independence Day, also a regular holiday.
