OVER 1,400 employees of the City Government of Bacolod will receive a P25,000 in Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus next month.

Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran said Monday, November 29, that they already approved the P35 million appropriation ordinance during its regular session last week intended for the bonuses of the employees.

The employees will receive their bonus on or before December 15, the vice mayor assured.

Under the Department of Budget and Management Circular No. 2017-3, every local government unit (LGU) is allowed to provide maximum of P25,000 in CNA.

He said the regular employees, plantilla casual, co-terminus such as executive assistants and technical assistants, including elected city officials, would also be entitled to the CNA bonus.

Familiaran said the city employees also earlier received their 14th month pay as well as their performance based bonus (PBB).

PBB is an incentive mechanism to reward local government employees for good governance and meritorious performance of an LGU.

Bacolod City earlier obtained the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award from the Department of the Interior and Local Government allowing it to provide additional bonuses for its employees.
