THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) received an additional patrol vehicle from the Philippine National Office (PNP) on Monday, November 22.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Sherlock Gabana, spokesperson of BCPO, said Wednesday, November 24, that the new Toyota Hi-Lux patrol car was turned over to Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas in Iloilo City from the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame.

Aside from BCPO, some patrol cars were also simultaneously distributed to other provincial and city police offices in the region.

The turnover ceremony was led by PRO-Western Visayas Director Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo after its blessing at the headquarters.

Gabana said the new patrol car was turned over to the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company headed by Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico.

Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, acting director of BCPO, expressed his gratitude to the PNP organization for the mobility asset as it would better the capability of the mobile force in Bacolod City to respond to the needs of the unit.

Martir said the new patrol car is a big help to the policemen as it could quickly act on calls for law enforcement and other police initiated operations and most especially on the anti-insurgency campaign of BCPO.
