THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) bested seven other provincial and city police offices in Western Visayas in the campaign against illegal drugs.

In a press release Tuesday, May 22, Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas said Bacolod has the highest number of arrested suspects, and cases filed in the anti-illegal drug operations.

A total of 254 drug personalities were arrested in the city from December 5, 2017 to May 14, 2018.

Fifty of the arrested were listed as high-value target or street level target while 204 were newly-identified drug personalities.

Vargas said the success of their campaign is attributed to their intensified police operations, and responsive cooperation and support of barangay and local officials, and all stakeholders in the city. (GYM)
