THE Bacolod City Council approved a resolution congratulating Kurl Eduvas Jamora for being a topnotcher in the 2018 Physician Licensure Examination.

The resolution, authored by Councilor Caesar Distrito, stated that the Professional Regulation Commission recently announced the examinees who passed the Physician Licensure Examination administered by the Board of Medicine in September.

He said Jamora of the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute grabbed the number 1 spot with a 91.08 percent rating.

Jamora, a resident of Eroreco Subdivision in Bacolod City, finished his primary and secondary education in the University of St. La Salle-Integrated School (USLS-IS) with flying colors.

He took Human Biology at the De La Salle University and graduated as summa cum laude, subsequently, he obtained his medical degree at De La Salle University–Dasmariñas where he graduated as magna cum laude.

Distrito said one notable recognition he got was the distinction given by the Philippine General Hospital, citing him as one of the overall outstanding interns.

“For such excellent victory and accomplishment, the City of Bacolod is very proud for the honor that he brought, which is an inspiration to the aspiring doctors of the city to do their best and persevere in their studies to attain remarkable feats that they deserve,” he said.

Distrito said Jamora is known to his family, friends, and colleagues as a hardworking, passionate, intelligent and a God-fearing person and that his hardships and struggles were paid off by his recent achievement as a topnotcher. (MAP)
