THE Bacolod City Council commended traffic enforcer David Desabille for returning the wallet containing cash amounting to P70,000.

Councilor Em Ang, who authored and passed a resolution on Thursday, said yesterday that on April 25, Desabille, an enforcer of Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO), found a wallet containing 70,000 in Ilang-ilang Street, Barangay Villamonte.

She said Desabille was driving his motorcycle on the way to the market where his live-in partner is a vegetable vendor.

Desabille immediately turned over the wallet to Police Station to locate the owner which was identified as Karen Fernandez.

“It is just fitting for the City Council to commend Desabille for being a paragon of honesty that despite hardships experienced by his family, without hesitation, he returned the money that did not belong to him,” Ang said.

She said that demonstrating the admirable value of honesty is worthy of emulation, thus making the people of Bacolod City proud. (MAP)
